The ZED: TEATRO di POESIS exists to offer reading and performance of new works. Adaptive and original, these work have not previously been produced and are presented for feedback to the writer and as a service to the performing arts community at large.
THE AMERICAN: Brother James
Our first stage reading is of THE AMERICAN: Brothers James by ZED Artistic Director, Stacy Embry. This is an original work exploring the relationship of real brothers -- noted pragmatic Psychologist William James and riveting intense writer Henry James. This new work examines their relationship and extends conflict as an allegory based on scenes from the famous Henry James novel, The American.
